Access :
The starting point is at Camp Onézime, accessible in 15 minutes via a dirt road on a 4-wheeler from Route 172 (km 68). To get to the Dampool camp, you can either hike 5.5 km on foot or rent an ATV (5 foot) and a trailer. Plan for about 45 minutes on the trail with an ATV. Add 15 minutes if on foot. The trail skirts along the river and the Dampool camp is located 10 minutes upstream from the Saint-Germain camp.
Fishing
The sector in front of the camp is perfect for sea trout fishing and you may even land a big one! A visit to Fer à Cheval is a must during your overnight stay at Dampool, a pool located 1 km away on foot or by boat. The trout and salmon gather in a large deep pool and a second to none fishing experience awaits at Fer à Cheval.
