Chargement

The steps of catch and release

– Crush the barb of the hook

– Do not tire the fish, guide it to calm water quickly

– Handle the fish as little as possible

– Do not take it out of the water, protect its eyes, gills and the scales

– Remove the hook or, if too difficult to remove, leave the fly and cut the bottom of the line. The hook will fall out after a few days

– Hold the salmon with one hand close to the tail and the other under the belly

– Place the head of fish in the current and wait for it to regain its strength

– Do not move it back and forth

– You’ve now contributed to the future of the fish

– You are the true victor of the battle since you’re giving it the chance to reproduce

– More fish for our future generations
